Supply Not Moved in Over 6 Months
Description
Overview
This chart tracks the share of circulating Kaspa supply that has not moved in at least six months.
Half a year is long enough to filter out most routine trading and rebalancing, but short enough that the line still moves meaningfully within a single market cycle. Coins reaching this band have generally sat through at least one significant price swing without being spent.
That combination is why six months is often used as the boundary between recently active supply and dormant supply.
How This Data is Collected
Values are expressed as a percentage of circulating supply. This variant sums every age bucket from 6 months–1 year upward.
Kaspa's genesis block was mined on November 7, 2021 at 17:26:27 UTC.
This data is calculated by estimating the timestamp of each UTXO in Kaspa's UTXO set. Since Kaspa does not store a timestamp with each UTXO, the DAA score is used to estimate it. The age of each UTXO is then derived from that estimated timestamp.
Estimated ages are accurate to within minutes. For more information, see this Python approach on GitHub.
