Supply Not Moved in Over 1 Year
Description
Overview
This chart tracks the share of circulating Kaspa supply that has not moved in at least one year.
A full year covers a complete turn of narratives, network upgrades and price ranges, so coins that cross it are usually being held deliberately rather than forgotten. This is the most widely cited dormancy threshold in on-chain analysis, which also makes it the easiest band to compare against other assets.
It is the horizon that lines up most closely with how long-term holder cohorts are drawn elsewhere on this site — worth reading alongside Long Term Holder Supply.
How This Data is Collected
Values are expressed as a percentage of circulating supply. This variant sums every age bucket from 1–2 years upward.
Kaspa's genesis block was mined on November 7, 2021 at 17:26:27 UTC.
This data is calculated by estimating the timestamp of each UTXO in Kaspa's UTXO set. Since Kaspa does not store a timestamp with each UTXO, the DAA score is used to estimate it. The age of each UTXO is then derived from that estimated timestamp.
Estimated ages are accurate to within minutes. For more information, see this Python approach on GitHub.
